Let  me  introduce  myself.  My name  is  Terry  Haskins.  I’m  married  to  Tammy-  the  love  of  my  life  for  over  20  yrs.    I  am a  full  time  Dad  to  my  children  Tony,  Audrey,  Shea, and  our  faithful  dogs Petey,  and  Nana’s  Angel.

Dogs  are in my  blood.  My  father  was  a  K9  handler  in  the  US  Air  Force  in  the  late  1950‘s  and  later  as  a  Boston  Police  Officer.  Growing  up  I  knew  more  about  working  dogs  than  companion  dogs.  We  had  lots  of  pet  dogs  just  never  seemed  like  they  got  the  attention  the  K9’s  received.  

My  awakening.  I  too  served  in  the  US  Air  Force  as  an  Avionics  Technician,  but  it wasn’t  til  years  later my  wife  and  I  cut  our  honeymoon  short  to  bring  home  a  12  week  old  Boston  Terrier  we  named  Pal.  Pal  was  far  from  perfect  and  my  desire  to  help  him  breathed  life  into  creating  a  dog  walking business,  The  Dog  Butler  in  2000.  

Door opens.  In  2002  the  owner  of  The  Weymouth  Dog  Shop  gave  me  an  opportunuity to  attend  National  K9  School  for  Dog  Trainers  in  Columbus,  Ohio.  NK9’s   programs  are  certified  by  Ohio’s  State  Board  of  Education  and  upon  successful  completion of  the  Master  Trainers  Program, I  achieved  designation  as  a  Certified  Professional  Trainer  (CPT).   After  graduation  I  created  Doggaritaville  University  Dog  Training  at  the  Weymouth  Dog  Shop.  

Life  changes.  In  2003  my  daughter  Audrey  was  born  and  I  decided  to  resign  from  Doggaritaville  University  and  become  a  stay  at  home  Dad.  I   unleashed  The  Dog  Butler,   now providing  in  home  dog  training.  

Lifelong learning.  My  desire  to  provide  the  best  care  and  training  has  afforded  me  the  opportunity  to  meet  the most  wonderful dog professionals  in  every  aspect  of  the  dogs  care.  I  continue  to  expand  my  knowledge  And  gain  wisdom  in  order  to  provide  my  clients  with  real  solutions  to  help  them  live  harmoniously  with  their  dogs.  Each  and  every  dog  has  a  lesson  to  show  us  and  I’m  paying  close  attention  to  them  and  communicating  this  to  their  human.  

My  approach.  Dog  training  is  really  about  teaching  people  they  have  a  dog,  If  you  respect  and  treat  them  as  such  you  allow  them  to  reach  their  full  potential.  The  bond  creates  a  lifetime  of  wonderful  experiences  and  memories.  I  believe  raising  a  puppy  takes  patience, developing  an  adolescent  dog  takes  trust,  and  enjoying  a  wonderful  adult  dog ,  takes  the  cake!
